QUILTING CLASSES:
Beginning quilting on March 18th & 25th, April 1st & 8th and intermediate quilting on March 20th & 27th, April 3rd & 10th. All classes will be at the Kaskaskia College Trenton Education Center, 520 E. Broadway from 6:00-8:00 PM for $46 (supply list included). SPRING CONCERT:
You are invited…to the Heartland Community Chorus Spring concert, “Going Over Jordan”, featuring guest soloist world-renowned soprano, Christine Brewer. Enjoy traditional hymns and spirituals in exciting new settings. Saturday, March 22, 7:00 pm at St. Paul United Church of Christ, 123 Dee St., Lebanon, IL., and Sunday, March 23, 3:00 pm at St. Paul Catholic Church, 1411 Main Street, Highland, IL 62249. Tickets are $15 (age 16 and under FREE) and are available at the door, from chorus members, or online at heartlandcommunitychorus.org.
DRIVE-THRU CHICKEN DINNER:
Sunday, April 6 from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM at St. Teresa Church Marydale, located 6 miles north of Carlyle on Route 127, 18021 Marydale Road, Carlyle. Meal includes ½ fried chicken, dressing, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans & slaw. Price is $15 per meal. Quilt raffle tickets are available $1 each or $5 for six.

JOY OF EASTER:
Thursday and Friday, April 17th & 18th at 7:30 PM, St. Matthew Church in Belleville will present a musical passion play depicting the life and ministry of Jesus. This presentation includes a cast of 200 including choir, orchestra, drama team and tech support. In addition there are beautiful sets and costumes as well as live animals. Reservations are available for groups of 10 or more and will be available for seating at 6:30 PM. Call 618-397-5994 to make reservations.
TROPICAL TRIVIA NIGHT:
Save the Date of Friday, April 25h for a fun trivia night. Doors open at 6:00 PM and trivia starts at 7:00 PM at the Caseyville Community Center, 909 S. Main St., Caseyville, IL. Proceeds go to Puentes de Esperanza, of Hoyleton Youth and Family Services to support Spanish-speaking members of our communities.
STRAWBERRY FESTIVAL:
Sunday, May 18 from 11 AM to 3 PM at St. Jacob Township Park, 239 W. Main Street in St. Jacob, IL. There will be live music, kids activities & crafts along with pork burgers, hot dogs, brats and, of course, strawberry desserts. This is event is to support St. Jacob UCC.
