HOLIDAY CRAFT & VENDOR FAIR: Saturday, November 18 from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM at First United Methodist Church, 3324 Old Hwy. 50, Trenton. Come & bring a friend. Over 25 vendors and crafters along with a silent auction and bake sale. Breakfast & lunch available to purchase.

ZION UCC FESTIVAL OF TREES: November 16 through 19 at the Community Life Center at St. George Catholic Church, 317 East Maple Street, New Baden. As well as decorated trees and wreaths, this year’s event includes all the previous favorites plus a new event: Christmas Swirl and Sip Wine Tasting! We are also adding a multi-event pass. Festivities start on Thursday, November 16 with Glitz & Glam decorating with Grimm & Gorly. Friday is the kid’s Movie & PJ Party at 6:30 PM and Swirl and Sip at 7:00 PM. Saturday is Breakfast with Santa at 9 and 10:00 AM with a Vendor and Craft fair starting at 10:00 AM. Sunday is the last day to see the trees and wreaths that have been available for raffle since Thursday. Bake sales will also be available Friday through Sunday. MUSIKGARTEN: Fall session is open now for this research based program for early childhood music and movement education. Through singing songs, playing movement games, playing insturments, listening and learning, parent and child are exposed to a wonderful musical experience. Fall session runs through August 30th to December 20th. Join the Facebook group “Heather’s Musikgarten” for class descriptions, schedule and tuition costs or call 618-972-9187.

HEARTLAND COMMUNITY CHORUS, formerly Highland Community Chorus is announcing its new season, Celebrate Five, in celebration of HCC’s fifth year. Scheduled events:
• Saturday, December 16 at 7:30 PM – Christmas concert “On December Twenty-Fifth, Sing!” at First United Methodist Church in Trenton
• Sunday, December 17 at 3:00 PM – Christmas concert at St. Paul Catholic Church in Highland
• Saturday, March 3, 2018 at 5:30 PM – St. Patty’s Day Party with Mrs. Murphy and the Gang, featuring the Irish Aires at Highland’s Lindendale Park Ballroom
• Saturday, April 14, 2018 at 7:30 PM – Spring concert “Five Choral Treasures” at St. Jerome Catholic Church in Troy
• Sunday, April 15, 2018 at 3:00 PM – Spring concert “Five Choral Treasures” at St. Paul Catholic Church in Highland
• Saturday, June 2, 2018 at 7:30 PM – Five and Change annual pops concert at Highland Elementary Auditorium
Season tickets are available at http://www.highlandcommunitychorus.org. Individual tickets for each concert are $15, with children under 15 free. Season tickets cost $30 for three concerts. Sponsorships and contributions are welcome at any time.

LGBTQ SUPPORT GROUP: Starting September 19th from 6:30 to 8:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church, 3324 Old US Highway 50, Trenton, IL. This group will continue to meet the 3rd Tuesday of each month and is for individuals to talk in an open and supportive environment about issues impacting their lives and the LGBTQ and Allied community. CONCERT SERIES: St. Paul UCC in Waterloo will be having a fine arts concert series with these performers: December 17 – St. Paul Orchestra; January 21 – Mark Parker & Shannon O’Heron; March 18 – Collinsville Chorale with special guest Heather Sorenson; May 20 – Gary Humphrey & Friends. All performances are on Sunday at 2:00 PM and are free of charge.

TOY GIVE AWAY: BCMW Community Services is collecting new toys, canned goods, coats and monetary donations for needy families in Clinton County. If you wish to participate you can drop off your donations at the BCMW office at 625 N. 2nd Street, Breese, IL. If you need your donations picked up, please call 618-526-7123 to schedule the pickup. The toy give away will be held on December 20th, 21st and 22nd at the Carlyle VFW Hall, 1250 Franklin Street in Carlyle.
