DULCIMER CONCERT:
Sunday, April 21 at 1:00 PM at St. John UCC, 2901 Nameoki Road, Granite City, IL. The Gateway Dulcimer Society will be playing folk music and more. This is a free concert with a free-will offering.
GATEWAY RINGERS SPRING HANDBELL CONCERT:
Sunday, April 21, at 4:00 pm at St. Paul UCC in Lebanon, IL. Gateway Ringers are an auditioned community handbell choir, comprised of musicians from the St. Louis metropolitan area formed in 1995 and consist of members of the Handbell Musicians of America. Gateway performs using six octaves of Malmark handbells and six octaves of Malmark Choirchimes ©. St. Paul Director of Music, Nancy Helmich, directed this group from 2004 – 2007. Celebrating Spring features some Gateway favorites – old and new. Their spring concerts will feature some of their favorites: Fantasy on King’s Weston by Fred Gramann, Capriccio by Kevin McChesney and Creation Etere by Tim Waugh. Some new favorites will include Over the Rainbow, The Rainbow Connection and a beautiful arrangement of I’m Just a Poor Wayfaring Stranger for bells and saxophone. Please join us for this special concert featuring unique musical instruments. No tickets required; a free-will offering will be taken.

ST. JACOB STRAWBERRY FESTIVAL:
Sunday, May 19 from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at St. Jacob Township Park. St. Jacob UCC will be having their 40th Anniversary Strawberry Festival with yummy strawberry desserts, along with brats, hot dogs and pork burgers. Music will be by Paul Jarvis Duo, Sheltered Reality, and Scruffy Looking Nerf Herder. Crafts, children’s activities and raffle will also be available.
